"Chet was warm and accommodating from the moment we arrived. He was kind enough to share fresh eggs from his own chickens with us — such a sweet, unexpected touch."

The Place
Chester keeps two immaculate RV sites on five acres of high-desert land just outside Redmond. The grass is real, green, and well watered — a rare softness against the surrounding juniper and sagebrush plain. Rimrock cliffs hold the horizon. Horses graze across the road. At night the stars come out the way they only do at elevation, with no city to argue with them.
Two miles south, the lower Deschutes River runs cold and clear — fly fishing, spin fishing, swimming, and rafting, all without a drive. Five miles east, Smith Rock's columns and crags wait for climbers and hikers. Chester's place is the calm home base that makes both worth doing.
He has thought through the details a careful RV traveler notices: pull-through access for rigs up to 45 feet, 50-amp and 20-amp service, water, full septic, sewer hose stands, and a lush lawn that asks only one thing of you in return.

Deer Acres in Every Light
Establishing · Lot 1 DOE The grass is real. Chester keeps it that way — and the desert surrounds it on every side.
Morning · Lot 1 DOE Full hookups — 50 amp, water, septic — and a picnic table on a lawn soft enough for bare feet.
Morning · The Lawn Juniper and sagebrush on the horizon. Green underfoot. The contrast is the thing.
Midday · The Land Five acres of high-desert calm. The rimrock holds the horizon. The horses across the road make their own sounds.
Afternoon · Fire Pit + BBQ Chester supplies the ring and the grill. Bring your own wood, or buy firewood on-site. A hose waits at the ready.
Detail · Hookups New pedestal. 50 amp and 20 amp service. Water and septic on the same post. Chester checks it before you arrive.
Late Afternoon · Golden Hour The light hits the sagebrush around four. Deer sometimes cross the far edge at this hour.
Afternoon · The Desert Central Oregon high desert doesn't apologize for being wide and dry. That's the appeal — and why the green lawn lands so well inside it.
Evening · The Property Quiet paddocks and rocky pastures stretch in every direction. The sites face opposite ways — each has its own world.
Dusk · Dark Sky One review says it perfectly: "Awesome view of the stars." There is very little between you and the Milky Way here.
The desert is real. The lawn is real. Chester is waiting.

The Host
Chester is the host guests write home about. He meets you when you arrive, walks you to your spot, and makes sure the hookups are right before he leaves you to it. He'll share fresh eggs from his chickens if he has extras, and he knows every trail, climb, and fishing hole in the county. What he asks in return is straightforward: respect the lawn, keep the fire tidy, and leave the place the way he left it for you. The sites are immaculate because he treats them that way — and his guests almost always do too.
